11.6 version of Adobe Flash Player and 3.6 version of AIR have been released and available for download from Adobe website. Flash Player 11.6 update resolves multiple vulnerabilities that could lead to code execution, this update is recommended security update. If you’ve already enrolled for automatic updates of Flash Player during install of previous version you’ll be notified about this.
Flash player 11.5 and AIR 3.5 were released in last November, so Adobe has came up with new versions for Flash and AIR after three months.
Flash Player 11.6 brings click to play for Microsoft Office
This Flash 11.6 version offers click- to- play for Microsoft office, that means users using prior to Office 2010 will have to click to activate flash content. So automatic execution of malicious flash content if any in older versions from with in office documents will be avoided.
