Opera Software has released first release candidate for upcoming Opera 50 version and it comes included with CrptoCurrency Mininig Protection.
FYI, Opera is the first major browser with integrated ad-blocker to offer Bitcoin mining protection. You can find the new feature, NoCoin under Adblocker Settings. You need to enable adblocker in Opera Basic Settings to see it.
Opera 50 to ship with NoCoin (CryptoCurrency Mining Protection)
The website you’re going to visit may use your computer to mine CryptoCurrency, Opera claims the built-in adblocker in the browser has been updated recently to prevent that from happening.
“After we recently updated the rules for our built-in ad blocker mechanism, we eliminated cryptocurrency mining scripts that overuse your device’s computing ability. Simply enable Opera’s ad blocker to prevent cryptocurrency mining sites from doing their dirty work on your computer.” Opera said in a blog post.
This version of Opera has got ChromeCast support as well and don’t forget about more useful Save Page as PDF feature.
