Opera 50 : How to Restore Opera Factory Settings

Opera 50, which currently in development has got Save as PDF feature, now offers ‘Reset to factory settings’ flag, which, when enabled, Reset opera will be shown in ‘Browser’ settings, clicking this button restores Opera factory settings by clearing preferences, but history, saved passwords and bookmarks will be kept.

Enabling Reset button in Opera

1. Visit opera://flags

2. Search for reset and select ‘Enabled’ for Reset to factory Settings flag.

3. Restart Opera for the changes to apply.

How to Reset Opera to factory settings

1. Click on Opera menu and select ‘Settings’

2. Click on ‘Browser’, you’ll notice Reset Opera section under Default browser, click on ‘Reset factory Settings’

Note: Flags are experimental features, not guaranteed to stay and reach stable version.

ICYDK, the Chromium based Vivaldi and Opera browsers doesn’t offer Reset button in their settings, but Chrome already has one.
