Opera 79 for Windows, Mac and Linux released, here is what’s new

Opera Software has released Opera 79 stable and is available for download with pinboards and downloads improvements, and  System theme-matching support for Windows 10 and Mac, here is what the new version brought to the table.

What’s new:

  1.  Opera introduced the Pinboards feature a while back.
    The feature lets you collect, organize and share links, It can be useful for shopping and trips. Till now, the created pinboards were saved to Opera servers, now they’re stored locally in your device.

  2. In addition to recently downloaded files, you can now set Opera browser’s easy files to show from the Downloads folder of your computer.
  3. Opera browser comes with light, dark, and System theme preferences. The browser already supports Windows 10 dark mode, now, it matches Windows/Mac theme when you select System theme.
    You can set this in Easy Setup. Click on the icon on the extreme right of the address bar to open the Easy Setup panel and select the theme option.

The update comes with improvements than new features.

Opera 79 is based on Chromium 93, you can find this version’s full changelog here.
