Finally, Mozilla published Preview version of Firefox for Android they’re working on since some time for now on Google Play Store and is available for download. Firefox Preview v1.0 uses the Geckoview engine that Firefox desktop browser uses.
Mozilla says Firefox Preview will “combine the speed, privacy, control, and easy-to-use features you have come to expect from Firefox” and promises the company “will never sell your data for Profit”. According to the description provided in the Store, the organization claims this Firefox is up to 2X times faster than previous versions of Firefox for Android.

What’s new:
Firefox Preview with minimalistic design and address bar the at the bottom sports new “collections” feature that allows to group and organize tabs for later use. The App comes with tracking protection enabled by default in both regular and private browsing mode.
Slide up the from the bottom to bring up “quick action bar” that lets you share or bookmark or view the page in reading mode. If you’ve used tab groups feature in desktop Firefox browser before, you’ll feel at home and need no introduction to use Collections, it’s just another name for tab groups.
You can connect Firefox sync with Firefox Preview to sync browsing data and bookmarks with your Firefox account across the devices.
When you install Firefox Preview, you’ll be welcomed with a new first-run experience that explains important features product offers to new users who’re using it for the first time. For instance, you’ll be informed about the dark theme and default light theme.
When we reviewed the app first, the selling point of the product was sessions, which later called tab groups, now Collections officially.
Do note Fenix is the internal name used while in development, it’s now just “Firefox Preview”. You no longer need to join a google group to receive updates for App, go and download it by visiting Play Store on your device to receive updates from the Play Store.
