This is Chrome’s Screenshot Editor UI on Android

Google has been working on adding UI for Chrome on Android to create and share screenshots behind Custom Share Sheet feature for some time now, the Screenshot Editor is now available and working to some extent in Chrome Canary.

We’ve reported Chrome for Android is getting Custom Share hub before, the feature now has been polished and includes Screenshot feature along with Copy link, Send to your devices, and Print options in the first row. The second row is populated with Apps for you to share stuff.

Enable and use Screenshot Editor in Chrome on Android

Ensure you’re using latest Chrome Canary

1. Visit chrome://flags page

2. Search and enable the following flags

  • Chrome share screenshot
  • Chrome sharing hub

3. Restart the browser

4. Tap on the menu icon, select Share

5. Tap on Screenshot, you’ll notice Screenshot editor being installed message

6. Chrome offers options to Edit, Delete, Save and Share a screenshot in the UI

The Edit button isn’t working atm, by using the options, you can now save the screenshot or delete the current one shown in Screenshot Editor.

Screenshots will be saved to Chrome downloads location on your device.

If you try to share a screenshot using Share option, Chrome will crash, you’re warned.
