
Google is working on adding an option in the three-dot menu in Chrome App on Android for users to quickly delete the last 15 minutes of browsing history. Here is how you can enable and test this feature right now.
Every web browser, be it on a desktop or on mobile, allows clearing the browsing data.
Some browsers possess the ability to forget browsing history for a certain period. That can be, last five minutes, two hours, or 24 hours.
Firefox on desktop sports this. The feature works by clearing recent browsing history, and cookies and closing all tabs and windows.
Google Chrome on Android may soon get the ability to delete the last 15 minutes of browsing data by choosing the option present in the three-dot menu.
If you don’t want to use Incognito mode for a short period, then the new handy option in the menu will be quite useful to clear browsing data for that period.
How to delete the last 15 minutes of browsing data in Chrome on Android
- Launch the Chrome Android app
- Visit chrome://flags
- Type “delete” without quotes, and turn on “Enable quick delete”

- Click on the menu and select “Delete last 15 minutes”
- Chrome asks it will remove data within the last 15 minutes of containing browsing history, cookies and site data, and cached images and files.
- Select Delete, done.
The feature being tested in Chrome 113 Canary for some time. The dialog has been added with the recent update.
It’s still unknown when Google will launch this feature for Chrome on Android.
