Yesterday, August 14, 2018, my Bookmark changed for the way worse. I did not have the extension installed, as written about in this article. Google has replaced the excellent sub-folder-friendly bookmark manager with a similar piece of do-do that appeared on my screen yesterday at least two times in the past, and happily I was able to configure the old bookmarks back again.

The Techdows article, “Chrome 42: How to get old Bookmarking Interface and Manager back?” has a link that I used to get the old bookmarks back again when this occurred to me in 2015. It also happened again at the end of last year, I believe. These instructions do not work anymore, so I will not bother to post the link (you can see how it was done by searching for that Techdows article).

I just tried using the new bookmark manager. It’s so crappy, I cannot even create a sub-folder. Are there any way to fix this, to revert back the old bookmark manager? I hope so because the new bookmark manager is not usable if I cannot make sub-folders.

    Thank you.
