Both Chrome and Edge support running PWAs when you log in to your computer. But the option to control the web apps from running on startup hasn’t been offered in these Chromium browsers. Microsoft and Google have worked together to bring the “Start app when you sign in ” option to the App context menu in chrome://apps page, which you can use to disable or enable PWAs that on startup.

For the unknown, here is how you can make a Chrome Web app to run on Windows logon
- Visit chrome://flags
- Search for “Desktop PWAs run on OS login”
- Click on the dropdown and select “Enabled”
- Restart the browser
Visit any Progressive Web App site like Twitter, click on the + icon in the address bar to install
Select “Start App when you sign in to your computer”

When you start your computer next time, the Chrome PWA will open automatically.
Disable Chrome PWAs that run on Startup
- Visit chrome://apps page
- Right-click on App you’ve allowed running on Windows login
- Uncheck “Start App when you sign in”
The option isn’t available for web apps in edge://apps page in Edge Canaryl. As of now, you can able to remove Edge PWAs that run on startup from the following location.
