Mozilla came with a new name for the Safe Mode aka “Restart with add-on disabled” option in the Help menu of the Firefox browser. The company felt the change to Troubleshoot mode makes sense, it can be seen now in Firefox 88.
While Safe Mode is related to Windows and Mac, Firefox web browser also has Safe Mode built-in.

Firefox Troubleshoot Mode
Mozilla recommends users on Firefox support forums to run Firefox in a special mode to fix the issues
Firefox in Safe Mode,
- disables extensions and themes, Just-in-Time (JIT) JavaScript complier
- turns off Hardware acceleration
- ignore UserContent.css and UserChrome.css
To run Firefox in Safe mode
- Click on menu
- Select Help > select “Restart with add-ons Disabled“
- Click Restart
- Click Start in Safe Mode.

To Exit Safe mode, close and reopen Firefox or select the “Restart with Add-ons Enabled” option.
Now Mozilla is renaming Restart with add-ons Disabled and Restart with add-ons enabled Help menu items to Troubleshoot Mode and “Turn Troubleshoot Mode off”

The menu items were renamed, but the feature works the same.
