Google adds a Flag to Chrome Canary to mark HTTP Sites as non-secure

Chrome soon will show a warning icon when you visit HTTP websites in the browser. Back in December last year, Chrome Security team has made a proposal that browsers “gradually change their UX to display non-secure origins as affirmatively non-secure. We intend to devise and begin deploying a transition plan for Chrome in 2015″.

As said they started to work on it and added a flag to Canary channel to mark HTTP Sites as non-secure, you need to visit chrome://flags/#mark-non-secure-as link in browser and need to select ‘Mark non-secure origins as non-secure’ and relaunch and visit any non-secure website like ours to see a warning icon (check the screenshot below) which conveys message to the users that HTTP provides no data security.
