It’s official! Twitter now rolling out a new experience for its service on Web and you’ll be switched to it by default, you can try the new look if available to you by clicking “Take a Look” option provided on the right sidebar in your twitter account.
Do remember, there is no way to get back to legacy twitter-like before which the website allowed during the testing. Now once you saw it, it can’t be undone, but there is a way to get back to old Twitter if you hate the redesigned Twitter UI on Web.
Today, Twitter announced on its blog they’ve started to roll out new twitter.com which is easier to navigate and more personalized and looks consistent on other devices. “Explore” feature till now available in apps only, is now available for you on desktop, so you’ll see more videos and Moments and content trending in your region.
“Bookmarks” are here. Like you favorite a page in the browser, you can now bookmark a tweet and access them by clicking the option in the left sidebar. Twitter now expands direct messages for you to let you see conversations as well as send messages from one view.
Supports more accounts. If you’ve more than one account, you can add and switch between them without needing to visit the website in another browser.
Improved dark mode.
Getting back to old twitter.com UI on desktop

If you’ve not found the below procedure of modifying Twitter website cookies working, you can install GoodTwitter extension in Chrome and Firefox to revert to old twitter. We’ve tested this extension and its working, the extension only changes the twitter website user agent to that of Interent Explorer 11, here IE 11 UA String that Chrome passses to Twitter after installing the extension
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 9.0; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0)
1. Install GoodTwitter extension from Web Store for Chrome and from AMO for Firefox.
2. If you already signed into Twitter, sign out and sign back again to see old Twitter. The extension applies UA change to Twitter website only, so your experience with other websites that requires Chrome won’t be affected because of this.

1. For Chrome,. Install Editthiscookie extension from Web Store, if you’re using Firefox, get Cookie-editor extension.
2. Visit the Twitter website, sign into it, click on “EditThisCookie” icon on toolbar
3. Expand,twitter.com | rweb_ optin and change its value from ‘on’ to ‘off’
4. Click on tick mark to save the changes. In Firefox, for Cookie Editor extension, you need to click on floppy icon to save the changes.
5. Reload twitter to see old design.
