Some users who installed May Cumulative update KB4497935 released on May 29, 2019, for Windows 10 version 1903 noticed that the update is offered again by Windows Update to them even though they already installed it for three times.

Recently, Microsoft released Cumulative update KB4497935 to address major issues in version 1903, that include Night light mode, external USB device detection that prevents Windows 10 feature update from installing by showing an error, etc.

KB4497935 offered repeatedly by Windows update

Considering this follows news that update KB4494441 that installed twice on users devices running Windows 10 1809, Microsoft acknowledged that issue and said the update in question required multiple download and restarts, promised they’ll improve the update experience and ensure they take steps for update history to reflect correct reporting of installation of the latest cumulative update.

Combing back to the current issue where latest cumulative update offered repeatedly, Microsoft in a support document dated back to April 17, 2018 notes” This may happen if the update isn’t installed correctly for the first time, or if your Windows Update settings couldn’t detect the update.”
