Avast 20.9 shows CyperCapture Notifications in Notification Center

After improving CyberCapture with Avast 20.8, Avast Software has further enhanced the feature in Avast 20.9 on Windows to ensure users can always see the notifications about threats sent to Threat Labs in Action Center. Apart from this, version 20.9 comes with improvements and usual bug fixes.

CyberCapture included in Avast with Nitro Update in 2016, when detects suspicious files on your computer, sends them to Avast Threat Labs for analysis. The result will be displayed on the user screen after scanning in an isolated environment.

With the previous version, Avast improved the way it sends unknown files to Avast, with this version, Avast now shows the CyberCapture results in Windows Notification Center or Action Center in Windows 10 for you to check if you’ve missed them.

Avast service and VPS components now load quickly as they load at the same time.

Here are the other changes:

  1. Optimized scanning of QUIC connections.
  2. Do Not Disturb mode moved to a separate section in Performance.
    To manage, Avast Do Not Disturb settings, open Avast GUI, select Settings > General >Performance > Do Not Disturb Mode.
  3. Fixes a minor bug with a Behavior shield to make sure it doesn’t duplicate detections covered by File Shield.
  4. Fixed a rare case where switching languages could fail.
