How to disable Tracking Protection Option in Firefox Menu

Recently, in Firefox 62, Mozilla has added Tracking Protection option to the hamburger menu, this allows user to turn Tracking Protection on/off from menu itself without visiting Privacy & Preferences Settings. For some reason, if you don’t find it useful or unnecessary, Firefox team allows to disable it in Firefox version 63, here is how you can do that. FYI, the Firefox browser also shows Tracking Protection status for the normal browsing mode in identity box.

Disable Tracking Protection toggle in Firefox Hamburger menu

Ensure you’re using Firefox 63 or later.

1 .Visit about:config
2. Search for trackingprotection, in  the search results displayed below, find the preference, privacy.trackingprotection.appMenuToggle.enabled and change its value to false.

Now if you open Application Menu, you won’t see Tracking Protection option. To enable it, change the above preference value to true again.
