
Chrome on Android has a Screenshot feature availble in the Share menu. It lets you take full-page screengrabs, now, Chrome on desktop also getting Screenshot feature built-in. The feature has been made into the Share Hub in the Canary version of Chrome for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS and is available for a first look.
Microsoft Edge Chromium lets you take screenshots natively.
Chrome browser requires extensions for the same.
After switching to Blink/Chromium Microsoft Edge integrated Web Capture to take full-page screenshots with annotations support.
Google has chosen to add the screenshot option to Share Menu aka Share Hub which allows to quickly share links to Email, social Sites, and other devices.
How to enable and use Chrome’s Desktop Screenshots tool
- Ensure you’re using Chrome Canary 94.0.4590.0 or later, visit chrome://flags
- Search for “Desktop Screenshots” and select Enabled, restart the browser
- Visit a webpage, click on the Share icon, and select “Screenshot”
- Use a mouse pointer to draw and capture a region and release the mouse. The Screenshot will be saved to Clipboard.
- You’ll be offered options to Edit, Share and download the screenshot. None of these options are working at this time. Edit hints that Chrome on desktop also could feature a Screenshot Editor like Android.
Chrome 92 already received reverse Image search with Google Lens Support. Recently, Google has added a context option for Lens Region Search.
