Firefox for Android adds support for two New Extensions

Mozilla is slowly increasing the number of recommended extensions offered to Firefox for Android users. Till now, Firefox Nightly version lets you install 9 add-ons, these include popular Ublock Origin and HTTPS Everywhere. A few days back, Nightly received two new recommended extensions named “Google Search Fixer” and “Video Background Play Fix”.

While you can get new features in the Nightly version, Firefox 81 for Android has got lots of new features and improvements, for instance, it lets you close tabs automatically after a certain amount of time.

Here is a little bit about two new recommended extensions added by Mozilla to Nightly version of Firefox for Android.

Video Background Play Fix available for Android only, ensures audio/video in background tabs to play but not unloaded. “Some sites may not work with Firefox for Android Background play feature. The add-on provides a quick fix by blocking the Page Visibility API and the Fullscreen API”, the add-on description reads.

If Google search on Firefox for Android appears with a different design, you may have to install the “Google Search Fixer” Extension to fix that, so that it appears like on Chrome.

“Override the user-agent string presented to Google Search pages to receive search experience shown to Chrome,”  the extension description says.
