
We’ve reported some websites that use dynamic JavaScript (such as YouTube and Facebook) are loading blank in Firefox 70 and covered a workaround, Mozilla found their “LocalStograge NextGen” is causing the issue and disables the new feature for all users with Firefox 70.0.1, the update also updates OpenH264 plugin for macOS 10.15.
Here is what happened:
Mozilla released Firefox 70 for Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms. Firefox users who updated to the latest version found some websites no longer loading fully, mostly used Facebook and YouTube sites also affected.
Mozilla acknowledged this and added the bug as unresolved to version 70 release notes by mentioning “some websites or page elements using dynamic JavaScript fail to load” and provided a link to the workaround page.
The workaround involves disabling LocalStorgae NextGen pref in about:config. Mozilla has now shipped Firefox 70.0.1 by disabling NextGen LocalStorgage that caused the issue,

To update to this version, launch Firefox, click menu > About Firefox, the update will be downloaded, restart Firefox to install the update.
