Google has now enabled the revamped context menu for images, links and videos for Chrome 78 on Android by default, the change is now rolling out. Long pressing a link or image or a video now shows other options along with preview in the context menu. Google has been testing this feature behind a flag for some time now on Android. If you don’t like it you can temporarily disable and get the old context menu back, here is how that can be done.

For the uninitiated, Chrome on Android now replaced the old context menu with a new menu if you long-press a link or image or video. Below are the differences we observed between the old and new context menus:
The new menu shows site icon and hides URL partially for links whereas, for images, the menu displays the image preview and title. Remaining options stayed as it is, the new menu also lost some width and shows the app you used recently for sharing in the menu for Share link action.
Disable the new Context menu in Chrome on Android
1. Visit chrome://flags
2. Tap in the search bar, type “revamp”, in the highlighted results, for “Enable revamped context menu” flag

3. Select “Disabled” and restart the browser.
This is a temporary solution, the flag may last for a couple of releases, after that, you’ve to live with the new context menu.
