How to repair Extensions in Chromium Edge browser

We already covered how to repair corrupted extensions in Google Chrome browser, here we are again letting you know what you should do when the Edge extensions page shows “This extension may have been corrupted” error for one of the installed extensions.

As you can see in the screenshot below, UBlock Origin extension installed from Chrome Web Store in new Edge browser was corrupted and Edge informing that extension is corrupted and offers Details, “Remove” and “Repair” options.

The repair option fixed and reinstated the extension for us. If that doesn’t help you need to uninstall the extension by using Remove option and reinstall the add-on by visiting Microsoft Edge/ Chrome Web Store.

This extension may have been corrupted in Chromium Edge browser

If you don’t know, new Microsoft Edge browser allows  installing extensions from Chrome Web store.

The Microsoft Edge add-ons store with limited extensions is new to us, but Chrome Extensions store is familiar and the extensions installed from it gets corrupted sometimes due to changes Chromium team makes to Chrome browser with some experiments and the extension may have been actually corrupted in your case and its not hard to fix or reinstall if only one extension is affected.
