Windows 11’s new Task Manager to get Colors Support

Windows 11′s new Task Manager already comes with new features and improvements. Microsoft to improve it even further with the support of the system Accent Colors. In other words, the Task Manager in Windows 11 to get more colorful to ensure you can see and identify the highlights with different colors when set in Personalization Settings.

After other inbox apps such as Photos, Paint, and Notepad, Microsoft has redesigned the Task Manager and transitioned its look from classic to modern.

The new Task Manager with hamburger menu supports fluent design’s acrylic and mica effects and dark mode also.

What’s wrong with Task Manager’s current design?

The Active processes with yellow mustard color values in CPU, Memory, Disk and Network tabs don’t look good. To add more, when you switch from light mode to dark mode, the highlights don’t adapt and you may fail to understand them.

The Task Manager in Windows till now never supported System Accent color. So users won’t be able to customize it with Color options available in Personalization settings.

Many areas in Windows 11 such as the Start menu, taskbar, and title bar, support Accent color, but not the Task Manager.

This is to change with future Windows 11 Preview builds. The company revealed this in the Windows insider Apil webcast.

The firm wants to change and represent high and low intensive processes with distinct colors.

So in future builds, you can able visit Colors Settings in Personalization and select a color from Recent colors, Windows colors, and custom colors that are supported by Highlights in Task Manager.

Microsoft has shown off Task Manager in Purple, Orange, Red, Blue, and White colors. The Task Manager said to support accent colors in Windows 11 light and dark mode.
