If you now sign in to Gmail in the new Microsoft Edge browser on a new computer, you’re likely to receive a Chrome download ad in the security alert email, which you get to check details.

Seems Google is not going to stop asking Edge users to Switch to Chrome on its web properties.

We’ve covered Google’s promotional messages about Chrome in Edge on Google Translate, Gmail, Search, News, and other services, now the company through Gmail security alert messages is asking users to download Chrome.

Here is what the message that appears in email Edge user received when he signs into Gmail on Windows from a new device :

Gmail new Windows 10 sign in download Chrome

“Hi, you’ve just signed in on a new computer. Make most of Windows 10 with Chrome browser. Chrome is a fast, simple, and secure browser built for the modern web. Download Chrome”

It is quite obvious to receive a security alert email to check the details and you’ve to change your password if you’ve not signed into Gmail on that new device, but look, instructions are at the bottom and major portion of email has been used to promote Chrome.
