The Ad balance feature in AdSense which allows publishers to show fewer ads without impacting their revenue to improve user experience on-site is going to be retired by Google this month on May 20.
Google today announced after receiving feedback from publishers they’ve decided to remove ad balance tool from AdSense and will focus on developing a suite of blocking controls instead. The company says it will remove the tool, including the experiment option and all completed ad balance experiments from the AdSense Accounts on May 20, 2020.

If you’re using Ad balance or running the experiments on it Google notifies this information to you via email.
For the uninitiated, Google brought Ad Balance feature to AdSense in 2018 to let publishers run fewer ads on their sites for the users to spend more amount of time on site. When a publisher uses the slider to reduce the Ad filling rate, they will see the impact on estimated earnings.
To see Ad balance before Google removes from AdSense, sign in to AdSense, click on Ads, and select Ad balance to see what percentage of ads Google is currently showing on your site.
