Configure Vivaldi to close Pinned tabs like normal tabs

If you’re a Firefox or Chrome user trying out Vivaldi for the first time and found Vivaldi doesn’t let you close pinned tabs like normal or regular tabs, you’ve to unpin that tab first then only you can able to close that tab. Don’t worry! You don’t need to do that every time, you need to configure Vivaldi Settings (once) so that the pinned tabs will always be closed like other tabs, here is how that can be done.

For the uninitiated, here is how you can pin/unpin a tab in Vivaldi browser.

1. In the Vivaldi browser, right click on a tab and select ‘Pin Tab’, that tab will be pinned and becomes the first tab in tab strip from the left.

2. To unpin it, right click and choose ‘Unpin Tab’, done.

Now in the second step, Firefox and Chrome browsers offer ‘Close Tab’ option in the context menu along with Unpin option where Vivaldi here doesn’t provide the former option for a pinned tab.
