Mozilla has added ‘Search Tabs’ option to all tabs menu in Firefox 66. Firefox team felt the ability to find only open tabs from the location bar is not known to many, so they thought adding an option to ‘list all tabs’ button is a great way to introduce about it to the users.
Search tabs in Firefox from the location bar
Do you know this: Firefox has an undocumented search tabs feature. If you’ve many numbers of tabs open, to find a particular tab, in the address bar, add a percentage (%) and give a space after that and type the word, bingo!, check the screenshot below for an example.

Mozilla wants users to know about this and added an option to ‘List all tabs’ button. This is how the feature works in current Firefox in Nightly version when you’ve more tabs open in Firefox. The list all tabs menu button which appears at the end of tab strip displays all tabs in a drop down, now includes new ‘Search tabs’ option, selecting it will take the focus back to the location bar and adds the % symbol to initiate tab search.

The bug in question has been marked as fixed and target milestone has been set as Firefox 66, you can see this feature or change in latest Firefox Nightly.
FYI, Vivaldi browser offers the ability to find the tab you’re looking for through Quick Commands feature.
