Microsoft Edge gets option to mute a tab playing audio

All browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera and Vivaldi show an icon when a tab is playing audio, till now except Edge, other browsers allow to mute a tab that is making noise by clicking on it, which Microsoft’s default browser in Windows 10 doesn’t provide or lacks. Finally, Microsoft has added the tab muting option to Microsoft Edge in an insider build.

The audio icon which appears when a tab playing is media is clickable in Edge now, doing so will mute the tab that is playing music. You need to click on it again to unmute it.

Mute tab option is also available in the tab context menu in Microsoft Edge browser for you to use.
