Report option in extension menu Firefox

Any extension or theme you’ve installed is slowing down Firefox or breaking websites or showing ads or exhibiting malicious behavior by changing search engines, home page or new tab without your consent or displays hateful or violent content?

Till now Mozilla allows the user to report those from addons.Mozilla.org, now you can do the same from within Firefox browser from about:addons page.

The report button can be seen for each extension in its menu and as well on the toolbar when you right click on the extension icon. The option also appears when you remove an extension, an optional checkbox will be displayed in Remove extension dialog for that purpose.

After submitting the abuse report, Firefox add-ons team reviews your report and if the extension is found to be abusing Mozilla add-on policies, it will be removed from AMO until the developer fixes that issue. Sometimes, depending on the severity of abuse, the extension could be put on blocklist so that it won’t load in Firefox browser.
