Microsoft’s LinkedIn to drop support for Internet Explorer 11 on July 1

LinkedIn, Microsoft-owned Profession networking platform website will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 after June. The website is currently suggesting to use the latest version of supported browsers for “an optimal experience, better encryption, and privacy support”.

The LinkedIn website in IE11 is now showing a notification on top to inform the user that  “As of July 1, LinkedIn (It) will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 browser.”  It asks to switch to one of the supported browsers on desktop and mobile.

LinkedIn supported browsers on desktop

  • Microsoft Edge (current and last major revision)
  • Firefox
  • Chrome
  • Safari 10.1.1 or later

On mobile, LinkedIn supports

  • Safari,
  • Chrome,
  • Android.

LinkedIn recommends using current and major versions fo the above-listed browsers. You may be prevented from accessing the website and some features may not work properly if you use old browser versions, LinkedIn warns.
