The Reading List feature in Legacy Edge allows users to save articles, videos and other interesting content to access later, the feature isn’t coming to the new Edge browser, after all, Microsoft has confirmed this in a discussion thread aimed about collecting feedback on the implementation of the Reading list in new Edge browser, the company suggests Pocket and built-in collections feature as alternatives for the same.

At the beginning of the discussion thread, Microsoft expressed bringing the feature to the new Edge requires more work and considering users’ feedback of missing offline support and “confusing” statement about the Reading list made Microsoft to not give priority over other features it is building for new Edge.
“We wanted to thank everyone again for their feedback around Reading Lists. We have internally acknowledged that Reading List as a feature was not able to meet the needs of our users. While we do have some very passionate users of this feature, the truth is that it wasn’t used much in Legacy Edge. With these things mind, we have decided not to implement this feature into Chromium-based Edge” Community Manager for Microsoft Edge insiders, Missy Quarry said in a thread.
When you update to or install a new Edge browser, like the tabs you’ve set aside, Reading lists from old Edge will be brought into new Edge and available in other favorites folder.
