Firefox 40.0.3 release notes (not available).
I installed this version of Firefox yesterday (28/8/15) and subsequently was unable to restart the browser, with the error message: ‘Can’t find Firefox runtime’. I had to uninstall Firefox and then reinstall version 40.0.2 before it would work again.
I have updated and now when I click on the Hola icon, I get the following:
Error: Platform version’40.0.3′ is not compatible with
minVersion>=38.0.5
maxVersion<=38.0.5
I have no clue….
Your question has the answer it, extension is saying it is not compatible with Firefox 40.0.3, either look and install alternate extension or look for the developer to update it.
Not if this bug is security related but since firefox was updated on my MAC the same 40.0.3 update notice keep coming back even after many attempts to update. Yhe update process goes all the way through. Firefox restart and I still get the update notice. Any idea ?
I am not aware of this happening to other users, you can either try disabling the update checking or do a refresh (formerly known as reset) which fixes the issue. After reset, check for updates, most probably you won’t get that update notification again.
