How to schedule Sending an email in Outlook for web app

Like Gmail, Microsoft Outlook on the Web now lets you schedule emails. The new “Send Later” option available below the Send option in the compose window makes that possible. After scheduling an email, you can able to view or change or cancel it at any time.

Outlook on the desktop has had this feature available for more than 20 years, seems Microsoft has added this to the web version recently.

How to schedule an email on Outlook on the web using “Send later”

  1. Visit Outlook.com
  2. Sign in to it with your username and password
  3. Click on “New Message”
  4. Enter the names or type email addresses in the To field, type the subject and the message
  5. Click on the down arrow next to “Send” and choose  “Send later

  6. Pick a  Date & Time and click “Send”, done, your email has been scheduled to send at a specific date and time you’ve set.

Note: Your emails will be sent based on the timezone you’ve scheduled.

View or change Scheduled emails

To send the email at a different date/time

  1. On the left side, click on Folders > Drafts
  2. Click on “Cancel Send”

  3. Click on the dropdown arrow next to Send and choose “Send later”
  4. Choose a new date and time and click “Send” to save the changes.

  1. On the left side, click on Folders > Drafts
  2. Click on “Cancel Send”
  3. Click on the “Discard” button at the top or bottom, click OK.
