While Windows 10 May 2020 Update itself broke OneDrive’s Files On-demand feature, the OneDrive app is actually reportedly blocking Windows 10 version 2004 from being installed on certain devices.
Microsoft recently acknowledged OneDrive files On-demand is broken for some “older devices or devices with certain old apps installed that use legacy file system filter drivers ” on Windows 10 2004.
The company has released a troubleshooter to affected devices to restore access to OneDrive’s Files On-demand feature.
When trying to update from Windows 10 1909 to 2004, a user informs “OneDrive and Legacy filters” with GUID is {afb67a42-a10a-48a0-9677-77b4d80efecc}” blocking the installation which he read from Human_Readable_xml file.
I’m trying to do a feature update of Windows 10 from 1909 to 2004. However, during the install, I get what appears to be a blocking app. the *_HumanReadable.xml file tells me the name of the app is “OneDrive and Legacy filters” with a AppGuid of {afb67a42-a10a-48a0-9677-77b4d80efecc}, neither of which I can find in Add/Remove Programs, Win32_Product, or HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.
Another user confirmed he also had the same issue with OneDrive and Legacy Filters.
One affected user said he solved the issue by uninstalling OneDrive.
I solved it here simply by uninstalling OneDrive, if it doesn’t appear for you, try installing OneDrive (normal and business version) and after uninstalling them
The same issue has also been posted on Technet.
