While Android Pie 9 was released on August 2018, after a year, Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 10.3.2.0 update of size 505 MB to Redmi Note 5 Pro devices, our Phone in India has got the update today. The update brings August 2019 security patch and allows to customize lock screen clock and added Google contacts support to App Lock.
MIUI 10.3.2.0 PEIMIXM
To check and install the update on Redmi Note 5 Pro, tap on Settings > About Phone, once the update is available, download and install it on your device.
After doing that, to customize the lock screen clock position:
Visit Settings > System & Device > Lock Screen & Password > Advanced Settings
Tap “Lock Screen clock format” and select whether you want the clock to appear Centered or Left-aligned or Vertical.
Note: The customized lock screen clock doesn’t work on your device if you’ve third-party themes installed.
Xiaomi has fixed the following two issues related to notifications:
- The screen didn’t always light up for notifications
- Media volume couldn’t be restored after receiving a notification.
App Lock which lets you protect apps by setting a password now supports Google Contacts.
MIUI 10.3.2 improves the lock screen pocket mode and updates the Android Security patch to August 2019.
After updating your device, if you visit Settings and About Phone, Redmi Note 5 Pro should report the following details.
Android Version: 9PKQ1.180904.001
Android Security patch level: 2019-08-05
