Revo Uninstaller Free version has received an update after six months, new version 2.1.0 added “Windows Apps” module to allow users to remove pre-installed Apps that came with Windows and Apps installed from Microsoft Store. If you’re using Windows 10 or Windows 8.1/8, you no longer need to switch to or install CCleaner or IObit Uninstaller to uninstall Store Apps, Revo Free can be used for the same, the app runs Windows Powershell commands behind the scenes for that.

Removing Windows Apps with Revo Uninstaller Free

1. Ensure you’re using Revo Uninstaller 2.1.0 or higher version

2. Launch the app, click on newly added “Windows Apps”

3. Wait for the Apps list to be loaded, it may take a while,

4. Select the unnecessary apps you no longer use, uninstall one by one. For instance, to remove “Alarms & clock”, select it and click Uninstall button, give permission to dialog displayed on your screen, Revo Uninstall will create a system restore point and uses Powershell command to get rid of the app.

Do note to get the app back, visit Microsoft Store and search for that app and reinstall.

Warning: You shouldn’t be uninstalling Microsoft Store App.

Apart from this, the update has improved the listing of installed programs. If you don’t know, you can export a list of applications installed on your computer in HTML format from within Revo.

The version has also improved scanning of leftovers and fixes minor bugs.
