BSNL Broadband’s Minimum Speed to become 2 Mbps from Next Month

BSNL upgrades broadband speed to 2 Mbps from 512 Kbps. Good news for all BSNL broadband users in India having data plans with speed of 512 Kbps and 1Mbps, Telecom provider has decided to increase the minimum speed for these plans from 512 Kbps to 2 Mbps.

This will come into effect from next month October 1 at no additional cost to users and applicable to FUP plans only. Once your FUP exceeds, speed will be downgraded or falls back to 512 Kbps like before, there is no change in that. Then you can either topup broadband or stay with reduced speed till next month.

BSNL Broadband plan minimum speed starts from 2Mbps

“We have increased the internet speed four times …we have ensured 2 Mbps is available at last mile, which is the customer premises starting October 1,” BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said.
