Last updated on November 16, 2012 By Venkat

If you sign into Google Webmaster tools account today and try to access +1 Metrics activity page to see which new posts of your blog have been +1’d, its no longer there for you!. Yep! Google has removed it as part of Spring cleaning of their products. Remember today is November 16 where custom background images for Google homepage are also going away. FYI Google officially discontinued +1 Metrics on November 14.

Google permanently removes +1 metrics

Here is what Google said in their spring cleaning post “We introduced +1 Reports in Webmaster Tools to help publishers measure +1 activity on their pages”.

So if you’re wondering where can I track +1 activity? its there in Google Analytics as Social Reports. “Given that webmasters now use Social Reports in Google Analytics to get a wider view of social activity (including +1’s)”.
