We’re unlucky as Norton SafeConnect not worked on my system after configuring my connection’s DNS Settings with IP addresses mentioned in protection plans. Tried three, none worked, don’t know why.
Bottom line, try it again. It should work now. If you live in flyover country like I do, west of the Mississippi, give it another week then try it again.
When you wrote this many ISPs were intentionally hijacking DNS traffic because of the whole DNS changer virus mess. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNSChanger
Yesterday I discovered that, at least both where I live and where I work, my Baby Bell ISP left their DNS hijacking in place. I stumbled across your same issue and put 2+2 together. I reported it through my ISPs account team and it should be corrected soon.
