Today Adobe has released final versions of Flash Player 11.4 and Adobe AIR 3.4, new features in these builds are intended for gamers. These builds add support for Constrained Stage 3D, iOS application development and Adobe has introduced concurrency with these releases which improves games responsiveness.
Developer evangelist Lee BrimeLow at Adobe to give demo on Flash player 11.4 and AIR 3.4 feature on Aug 23. “We’re also working closely with partners to help extend the reach of the Flash Player. This week, the gaming team is at the Unity Unite conference in Amsterdam, where we will be talking about Premium Features for Flash Player and showing off some great new games that were developed using a Unity workflow – Madfinger’s Shadowgun and Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. “
Adobe has tested background updates for Flash Player 11.4 in Beta state by releasing updates using silent updates which was introduced with Flash player 11.2, Beta users will updated to latest version of flash with in 24 hours after release.
Adobe says over 400 million users opted to use background updates feature when flash player 11.2 was released, so these users will be updated to latest version of Flash with in 48 hours after the official release, we can expect same with Flash 11.4 release also.
When Flash Player’s installation is completed you should choose ‘allow Adobe to install updates’ option in dialog shown by Flash Player 11.4 Installer, so that updates for Flash will be installed automatically on your computer you’ll be protected against vulnerabilities and stability issues in old versions of Flash Player.
