Makers of Cloud Antivirus, Panda has released Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.0 with new UI and they’ve ported ‘behavioral analysis engine’ in Pro version to Free edition and added support for Windows 8. Previous version number is 1.6, now they bumped it to 2.0 and calls as a major release. Another new significant feature addition is of cloud-based disinfection engine. These are the changes and improvements in Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.0 Free Edition. Lets take a look at the UI and features it going to offer in detail.
Panda company offers online install for the program (don’t worry check the offline installer provided by us at the end) which may annoy users, but once the program download is finished it will be installed quickly, user must be cautious during the setup to uncheck ‘Panda Security Toolbar’ and other stuff during the setup .
UI window is compact shows security status of your system, along with three sections: Processes, Firewall and Vaccine where later two are available in PRO edition, Processes section shows ‘Executed Programs report’ which lists running processes on your Computer where Panda AV classifies program as secure if it gets five-star rating from the cloud.
You can click on ‘Secure’ guard to access to the ‘advanced settings’ which allows to enable background scanning after synchronization. These settings should be configured by advanced users better you should leave them as it is.
You can run ‘optimized scan’ by selecting it from scan now drop down in Antivirus section.

Closing words
It’s the second time we tested this antivirus we’re impressed with it, we don’t know effective this cloud based antivirus is against threats, but I can say it may not give competition to Free AVs such as Avast and AVG with the current set of features.
