Don’t understand Media Player Hotkeys is not an application that allows to set hotkeys for media players installed in your Computer, Media Player Hotkeys is a freeware program that offers one set of global hotkeys which you can assign for actions like play, pause, PlayPause, Stop, Next, Previous, Volume Up, Volume Down, Volume Mute and Show Popup Menu which works for all media players.
Using Media Player Hotkeys (MPH)
Download the program zip file, extract its contents to a folder and run the executable MPH.exe. From the hotkeys tab choose the an action and add hotkey button, like that you can add hotkeys for all actions of a media player. Though not all actions are supported on all players, you can click players tab and select any player to see the limitations.
You can set the order of players in Players tab using up and down buttons. MPH does gives preference to this order because if VLC player and winamp are playing at the same time with VLC above the winamp in the list, VLC player will be controlled by hotkeys.
