If you’ve set Firefox to show windows and tabs from last time under “General” options for Startup Firefox 8 allows you to choose the tabs to load at startup which helps in faster-startup times of Firefox, you can enable this option under options on the General tab, here is how.
From Firefox Menu>Options >Options>select General tab make sure “Show my windows and tabs from last time “selected for Startup and select don’t load tabs until selected option, click OK to save the changes.
P.S. This feature not working for me, let me know if it worked for you.
Not working for me either!
This feature works great for me on FF8. I use tons of tabs, tab groups and windows.
All of my Windows use between 100 and 200 tabs; some even more, but then it takes too long to load, slows my browser down too much, and the browser occasionally crashes. This feature has helped me out a great deal.
At first, my browser didn’t show the general tab–I don’t know why, but maybe because I was trying to open the options box while FF8 was crazy busy trying to load 160 or so tabs. I closed the window, and reopened the window. I let all the tabs to open before trying to access my options. Now it works great.
Definitely not working.
Worked for me… Thanks :)
