Recently, we’ve covered Metro Sidebar, which brings Windows 8 style sidebar for Windows 7 where Mosaic and Omnimo4 brings Windows 8 Metro UI to Windows 7, this time its WinRAR’s turn!. Deviantart user Silviu Eduard has created a freeware metro UI theme for WinRAR, Metro WinRar adds metro UI to WinRAR. Since WinRAR supports to change its default interface with the themes, you can install this theme to feel like you’re using WinRAR in Windows 8 to archive files.

Adding Metro theme to WinRAR
Download and extract Metro WinRar archive to a folder and run double-click on metro_winrar.theme and click “Yes” button shown on the dialog box to install the theme. Once the theme is installed, all icons will be changed (including WinRAR’s) and this installed theme appears under “Options/Themes” menu, which you can select it.
To revert back to the default theme, open WinRAR UI, click Options Menu and choose the default theme.

Update: This theme no longer exists on the developer site for download, try similar theme created by another developer from here. After downloading the theme, you need to rename the theme name (without extracting) to winrar_metro_ui_theme.theme.rar and run it to install.
