RunWithAffinity

Last updated on October 23, 2014 By Venkat

Windows by default offers command line tool “start” to run programs on a single core, RunWithAffinity is a free application with its graphical user interface allows to create separate shortcuts for programs to run on single core instead on all cores.

RunWith Affinity

With multi-core processors available today, sometimes you may not able to run old games, then running those games will run on a single core. Though running on a single core will take more time than on multi-core, but this way you can allocate free CPU resources to other programs.

Download and run RunWithAffinity, select the program‘s executable you want to run on a single core, create shortcut for it, use it and start running it on single processor core.

RunWithAffinity is freeware and portable, supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7.
