Yesterday we’ve covered about the release of Firefox 4 Beta 11, Mozilla included Do Not Track privacy feature officially for this beta release, with the enable of this feature you can Opt-out of tracking of behavioral advertising.
- You can enable this privacy option from Firefox button>Options>Advanced
- Click General tab under Browsing section select “Tell Web sites I do not want to be tracked “
After enabling this feature, a header will be sent signaling to the websites that you wanted opt-out of behavioral tracking. Unless sites and advertisers responds to this header you won’t see any difference in browsing.
Are you a Firefox 3.6 user? you can automatically opt-out of ad tracking by installing Universal Behavioral Advertising Opt-out add-on.
