Some Hotmail users reported at the official Windows live forums that their inboxes are appearing blank and all the emails and folders are deleted. Sad way to enter into 2011 for Hotmail users, Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that they are aware of the issue and investigating.
While these Hotmail users can still able to login to their accounts but Hotmail shows them empty inboxes and all the messages and folders are deleted. It’s still unknown how many users are affected with this issue.
Reasons are still unknown why users inboxes are emptied and can Microsoft able to recover inboxes and restores them is still dilemma. A Hotmail user’s account will only be automatically deleted if its inactive for 120 days . [Via]
For me GMail/Google Apps FTW!!! Hotmail is NOT reliable in anyways :(
