How to manually Update Opera Extensions [Try Yourself]

We’ve covered that Opera 11 supports auto-update of Opera extensions, Opera recently added this feature to previously released snapshots also.  Are you curious to know how auto-update of Opera extensions works, here you can try your self.

You should be using latest snapshot of Opera  ( Windows/Mac/Linux)

Auto-Update of Opera extensions

1. Install older versions of To-Read sites  and Fast Search extensions.

2. Disable any one of these extensions.

3. When update is available for extension, extension will be updated and you will be presented with notification.

Force Opera extension to update

4. You can restart the browser for extension to update or Force extension update by clicking “Update” button in extension manager.

Manually updating Opera extensions

Follow above steps from 1 and 2.

  • Now from Opera menu >Help>check for Updates
  • A dialog box will be shown that update available for extension, click Ok.
