Mozilla Patches Critical Vulnerability in Firefox

As we covered Firefox affected with Zero-day vulnerability Mozilla patched that bug by releasing Firefox 3.6.12  and 3.5.16 security updates, it’s a small and most recommended security update. It’s better to manually check for updates from Help menu and click Update Firefox button.However you will receive update notification within 24 to 48 hours.

This security issue could potentially remote code execution.

Mozilla created,tested and released fix to users within 48 hours of the first notification about vulnerability.That’s Mozilla for you and users can always rely on Firefox it offers better security though not gives blazing speed as Google Chrome does.An unrelated news, Firefox 4 final postponed to next year and will release at beginning of 2011.
