
As we all know some time back Google introduced encrypted search which means the searches performed over SSL is encrypted between user’s Computer and Google so there is no chance of third parties intercepting your search queries and search results pages. Google SSL Web Search Google Chrome extension lets you add Google SSL Web Search and suggest as a search provider for Google Chrome 6.0.419.0 and later.

How to install Google SSL Web Search extension in Chrome
At present Google Chrome stable version still at 5, so users having dev, beta or canary builds with Chrome 6.0.419.0 and above versions can install this extension.
Click “install” button from extension page and click “Add as Search Engine” and in the Edit Search Engine dialog shown enter keyword for Google SSL Web Search eg. ssl.google.com and click Ok to save changes.
Now to make Google SSL Web Search and Suggest as default search provider right click on the address bar aka omnibox and choose Google SSL Web Search search engine and click “ Make Default” button.
Google SSL Web Search is still in Beta .
