Anyone can change the picture that appears on the Windows 7 start menu through user accounts settings in the Control panel, but the user cannot remove the picture from the same. For some reason, if you don’t want your User picture to appear on the Start menu, you can remove it using Windows 7 Start Menu Picture Remover.
Windows 7 Start Menu Picture Remover is a freeware and portable application, you just need to run the executable as administrator and click Remove Start Menu User Picture from the program window.
