In Win 7 Start menu, shutdown button will be visible by default.Restart, Log off and other options appears when you click menu beside it. If you are a user restarts your computer quite often then you can change shutdown button and place restart button to save time.
To change shutdown button in Win 7 Start menu with Restart button
1.Right click on Start button and click Properties .
2.Under Start Menu tab , opposite to Power button action, choose Restart option and click Apply, Ok to save changes.
From now you can able to press restart button very quickly and restart your computer whenever you want.Since user Shutdowns his computer less times in a day when compared to restarting, this will be useful.

I don’t know about anyone else, but here’s what happened when I tried this:
1) The Start menu button continued to say “Shut Down” – and that’s what it did.
2) My power button wouldn’t turn off the computer – all it would do is restart it.
This is exactly the opposite of what I was hoping to accomplish. Maybe it’s because it’s a laptop, I don’t know. What I do know is that I’m very unhappy.
It is working me, once you replace shutdown button with Restart click on it will restart Windows, Power button on keyboard or CPU should always turn off computer. You may check your PC and windows settings once again so that problem may be resolved.
